Page 1/9 of this article
Welcome to the Usenet Explorer tutorial. Usenet Explorer (UE) is a newsreader that you can use to download files from binary newsgroups on Usenet, and it is the successor to Newspro. By creating an entirely new base (without Microsoft dependency) and smart strategies the maker has succeeded in limiting memory usage and processor strain considerably, while strongly improving functionality and speed in comparison with Newspro.
Advantages of Usenet Explorer:
- Many advanced techniques for downloading from newsgroups using the traditional download method (by downloading headers).
Disadvantages:
- More difficult to use.
