NewsLeecher can automatically verify, repair and extract downloaded files for you. PAR2 repair files are necessary for verification and repair. More information about PAR2 files (and manually repairing using QuickPAR), can be found in our QuickPAR tutorial. This process is called Repair'n'Exact in NewsLeecher.

In the Configuration chapter we explained how to enable Repair & Extract. After downloading you can view the progress of this process on the Extract tab.

Let's check some boxes here, to tell NewsLeecher what to do and what not:

Enabled means that Repair & Extract will process downloaded files. Then you can enable 'Monitor' so that NewsLeecher will automatically verify downloaded files. If you also check Repair, additional PAR2 repair files will be downloaded if necessary and the files will be repaired. Check Extract, and NewsLeecher will even unpack the repaired files. Clicking on CleanUp will remove selected and finished items from the list.

As you can see below, when 'Monitor' is checked files will already be verified while NewsLeecher is still downloading the remaining files.
