To find a Usenet newsgroup you will need to know which groups are supported on the server you are using (strictly it is not necessary, since you can manually add a group, but this way you know for sure the group exists on your server). Therefore we will retrieve the complete grouplist for the current server.
Click the tab for 'Usenet newsgroup lists' on the bottom of the UE 'Workspace' window. A grouplist will be available for each server (once you retrieved it).
Highlight the server, right click and select 'Get Usenet newsgroup list' in the context-menu.
You can also use the toolbar icon 'Get headers/ng.list' to activate the command.
Remember to highlight the server first.
All Usenet newsgroups the server supports will be retrieved and stored in a list for later reference. How long it will take to retrieve the list will be dependent on the speed of the server, and your connection. It can vary between a few seconds to a few minutes.
