GrabIt - Posting short messages into Usenet newsgroups

GrabIt can also post short text messages into Usenet newsgroups. This enables you to respond to a post and is also the usual way to request fills/reposts on Usenet. To post with GrabIt, you have to enter a nickname and an e-mail address (possibly a fake one) in Preferences. I discussed this in the chapter Configuration.

Posting a message is easy. To begin, click the Post button.

A screen is opened where we have to set up a few things:

Newsserver: With which newsserver you want to post the message.
Usenet newsgroup: The group in which the messages is posted.
Subject .
Message

Note: Most of these messages don’t even have a body. They just contain a short message in the subject field so people can see directly what the message is. It takes too much time to download the messages and open them one by one, but if a message contains a body, the subject always contains the tag “Read inside”.
